What i hope is that a couple situations:

If between V and I:
Zerase to come back and wreck with her Star rune.
The new Queen too ally with whoever you're against and you have to fight generals from Suikoden V

If after IV:
Aldo to do something!
Flare fighting against you would be kinda cool.

If after III:
EDGE using the Night rune against you
Nadir...no real reason other than I liked his mask
Mike just to reveal his dark dark dark secret

Oh man i'm excited for the new Suikoden way way more now

The coolest villain would be the Prince of Falena, if only to be a villain for a short moment of time. But still, it'd be quite wonderful for him to act as an antagonist to the new hero's plans.

Not really a villain then, eh... maybe the Lindwurm Brigade?

Seeing Frey as a villian would be interesting! And, I think he has potential. Remember how he looked during one of the endings when he got both runes? Looks like he was about blow some stuff up.

I having nothing against former allies coming back as villians. They did that to Luc and I found that change very interesting. I hope to see another one in the future games if possible. I can only think of Tir Mcdohl as a possible villain in the making, if somehow he'll get consumed his Soul Eater, and eventually losing his mind.

The nice thing about Suikoden is the angle issue. Because it's two countries warring, it's entirely possible to have a skewed relationship with the opposing force. I'd think it would be really awesome if you could play through the game as both sides of the war, each with leaders and heroes, with two intersecting yet different paths, much like you run into your adversaries occasionally, one team would be defending a certain place when the other attacks, and in vice on the other campaign you could attack that same place. that way you see both sides of the war, and what can potentially happen with both results.

Having two sets of 108 stars (or even seeing the effects of recruiting first, imagine if the opposing team recruited jeane :o) or two sides recruiting would be an interesting spin. alternatively, having more than one star candidate would be cool too.

I think it would be pretty crazy if Flik or Viktor came back as a enemy General although I would hate to have to fight against my two favorite Suikoden characters.

I would like to see the Tinto guys as enemies. Gustav and the Lampdragon bandits, it would be interesting. Or maybe Dunan, like Teresa is the leader I think, and Klaus would be the strategist, Hauser would be a general, together with Ridley maybe. It would be interesting too.

I wouldn't mind seeing wilhelm and mueller as bad guys, becuase of the way you have to recruit them, i lost too many soldiers in war battles ( even though i did my best, wasn't that bad too) and i forgot about the time limit with him and missed them, and then they fight alongside godwin.
I woudn't mind beating them up in a future suikoden game, becuase of that.

Why not? This would be fantabulous. Konami has created a whole lot of characters that linger in the grey area of good and evil that would make a sensible choice for a good villain. Luc already did this in S3 and konami probably recognized that it was okay to do so, so this would always be a possible choice in the future.

I believe these characters would be good candidates: Zerase, Mazus, Crowley, Sierra, Jeane, Viki (her mysterious character does not point to any alignment whatsoever besides she seems pretty powerful)

Im not sure about "Villans" but definitly on the antagonists side it would be interesting. as long as it doesnt cop out and be like. "Oh well you've beaten us and even though we're employed with them im gonna join you" (Insert FF7 Victory Music and new tablet space)

I never really liked Dios... I think it would be fun to fight him again. Guy totally didn't have to be a SOD.

Zerase- a lot of potential. I mean, a pseudo Keeper of Balance and Order with a hands on approach (unlike Leknaat so far). W who knows what the implication of what using a Rune right is, and considering she is tied to the Night Rune (by her own comments), it's quite likely we will see her along the line if we see the Sword again.

Jeane- Pretty much confirmed to have lived as far back as the days of the Sindar, just what did she acquired from the Armes Ruins?

Unless Sierra's Rune gets out of control again, it's unlikely we will see her cross to enemy lines. And I wouldn't worry too much about Mazus and Crowley, unless Konami remembers them and decides to do something like throwing one in your side and the other in the enemy's side.

Viki...that's a total puzzle. She seems harmless enough. I still want at least a clue of her objective or origins, aside from that messed up world and her Younger Self.

They did that with Luc and his group in the 108 Stars ending of Suikoden III, and I thought it was very cheap. A much better handling of an ally turned villain was Leon Silverberg in Suikoden II, whose practical character instead of idealism was already hinted at in Suikoden I. Luc was just, "Hey, I'm bad now!" even if he had been angsty and bad-tempered previously.

However, if they gave proper motivations, it could be very neat seeing Jeane or Zeraze as the villains. Jeane would know of the 108 stars of course, but would their combined force be enough to stop Jeane's full power? It would also be surprising to notice that Jeane's star is occupied by somebody else and that somebody else is the runemaster. However, Viki is a mainstay that I simply can't see turning against the 108 stars. It would take a huge amount of character rewriting and still wouldn't be very credible.

They made Leon an asshole in his last bit in suikoden 2. I am thinking that Konami would not be above screwing with the alignments so the possibility of Viki turning out as evil would still remain (at 1% lol).
