|
|
Well, I played through the game, and I beat it. What really pissed me off however is that how they didn't explain who that lady was in the Rune of Punishment, of if Hero got back onto the Obel ship. I'm assuming I have to play through the game, as I got to save it, but, I'd rather not. Cause, well, I rarely ever play a game through twice, even ones I like. Could anyone explain the two questions above? |

It's the Queen of Obel, the original person who took the Rune of Punishment out of the ruins. Late wife of Lino and mother of Flare. You can see her in the opening video as well. |

I have a question of my own about her. Was the Obel Queen responsible for protecting Hero IV from Brandeau's use of the RoP with that green shield-like spell? That wasn't answered whatsoever, but I heard it was her doing it. _________________ "Luca Blight, patron saint of population decrease." -- Benit, MST149

We never know exactly. But perhaps it was her soul/memory inside the Runeof Punishment that saved Hero IV.

I believe Troy died. He did go down with his ship after all, and he did mention "returning to the sea" (aka dying out in the sea).
Elenor and Cray... Well, I would love to believe that both of them are dead. The explosion did occur in the Fort Of El-Eal, and we never get to see either of them alive after that.
And there were hints during that last scene that both of them may die together in the explosion...
But then the ending of the 108 SODs hinted...
Argh~! I'm not sure!

Troy died I dont think Cray and Elanor did. That sheild was probley there way of saying there is a deeper connection to a rune and the bearer. Lekaant said normal people cant or should not use true runes. But urges the hero to bear one implying they are speical people. _________________ Three Billion

Also speculated mother of Hero 4 and reason why she protected him.
again...speculated, but pretty obvious as it was strongly suggested.

Troy i'm pretty sure did, Fans of his speculate since he is the 'child of the sea god' that he finds a true rune at the bottom of the ocean and lives, but I highly doubt this.
Cray and Elenor, I always say, If you didn't SEE them die, and it didn't SAY they died at the end, then there is a good chance they lived and will return. Just my opinion, but i'm confident that is the case. :) _________________

I'd say Troy dies just of virtue of the armor and heavy clothing he was wearing. Kind of hard to avoid drowning when you're swimming in armor.
Of course, that doesn't stop my inner fangirl from being in total, absolute, complete denial, so I say no, of course he's not dead. He's just too pretty to die. _________________ Jack Bauer doesn't miss. If he didn't hit you it's because he was shooting at another terrorist twelve miles away. |

It's a video game with wooden robots...A guy could probably survive in full armor. Although I'm going to agree with you and say that I think that Troy is more than likely dead. We'll probably see Cray and Elenor again. |

Well it is my belief that all three of them, Cray, Elenor, and Troy are most certainly dead. It was clear that the ending was saying that Elenor was dead and well that only goes to figure, not to mention Cray due to the explosion. With Troy even if he could swim with the heavy armour he was wearing at the time he was far from anywhere that he could have gone. Not to mention I can only imagine that the armour would get extremely heavy with all the water that would gather on it or in it not making it very easy to move in.
As far as the woman in the last vision from the Rune of Punishment I have little doubt that the woman in said vision was not only the Queen of Obel but the heroes mother. The hints were so obvious that the hero was their child, not to mention she is the only other person known to have held the Rune so it only makes sense. _________________

It can be gathered from the game that both Elenor and Troy died. In the ending blurbs, it says something about a bottle was left out for Elenor, or something like that. And Troy basically admits that he'd rather die than betray his country. Plus, he has that whole "Child of the Sea God" thing going for him. More power to him.
But Graham Cray requires more thought. The whole ending sequence where the Fort collapses, you assume he died at that top chamber with the weird tree-dragon thing. But then after a few scenes, you see him down at the bottom, amidst the ruins, without a scratch. He's not even phased... just crazy. So how did he survive such a thing without taking any damage? Soon after there is a huge explosion... but the game does not TRULY make it clear whether Cray died.
I'd like to think he died so that he can return to his child, but I don't like the idea of that lunatic getting peace. I hope he's still alive, and now he's a wanderer or something, tormented by his actions until the end of his days. A quick death in that explosion is just too much of a cop-out. This guy deserves his internal punishment to the end of his days.
Well anyway, that's my thought on that subject. :D _________________ ~~Harmonian Tenhei Star~~

I never quite understood the fandom behind Troy, I always thought of him as a rather boring and undeveloped character, but I guess the attractive factor is a big reason.
As far as any hopes of him being alive. I think he is the staple Suikoden character that stays loyal and dies out of stubborness, i.e. Teo, Ain Gide, Seed, Culgan _________________

Troy:Possibly dead,as yes, swimming with armor is hard, and he'd have to go to a smithy to take one off.
Elenor:Dead as possible
Cray:Who knows.Maybe that "CRAY IS NECLORD!" crap might be true.Otherwise,dead. |
