Well, last night we made a run across the barbed wires of the massive yahoo geoprison.. err, cities complex and after some difficulties, got to sandwich.net.
Sandwich.net is a hosting service run by a dude in LA who I have known for a good couple of years. He's a friend of Julie the Suikosource owner, and he's the type of guy who knows his stuff and runs his business pretty much on his own. We moved to a better environment equipment-wise, program-wise, and service-wise. I'm shelling out more dough for it, but it's still not that bad.
There are still some tweaks to make. If you find anything make a topic in the technical issues forum.
Hopefully the forum is faster now. It seems that way, at least for now.
I havn't seen any internal server errors which is a great relief.
Lastly, fuck yahoo. They sucked, they made my life miserable, their support reeked, and their databases were just nonsense.

Definitely quite a bit faster. It still has its moments with the slowdowns, which I assume is an inherent factor with this particular database...but it seems better than Yahoo even at first glance. And no internal 500 server error things!

| Finally, I no longer get the white page of doom! The site is definitely much faster than it was a few hourse ago. The move to sandwich is truly a great decision. Now, my dial-up has a lot less to suffer. Rejoice! |

Yes, but what kind of sandwich? Because if it's a fluffernutter, I just don't think I can trust them.
This is very good news though, as pretty much everyone I've invited has been turned away by the slowness in the past.

Sadly the process was done on the only day in the week I can be online three hours in a row... Still the speeding up was worth it. It was a good decision, Vextor.
Normally I could eat the said sandwich while the side loaded, but now I can't even swallow a lttle piece before the wanted page beams at me :mrgreen:
