Contacting the Shogunate of Katana

Now that Shogunate of Katana has been revealed, some people probably wish to establish contact with them. However, I won't tell you who you should contact. It is up to each of you to decide who you should contact to get a good response. Katana has a policy of having no interaction with foreign nations, so it's probably a bad idea to contact the Shogun out of the blue.

If you read the profiles of many of the Katana NPCs, you should be able to get a grasp of who may be the best people to contact.

I havn't added all of the NPCs yet, so more is yet to come, but just letting you all know that you'd have to use your head a bit.

Just a question about Karasawa in http://www.suikox.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3430 The profile said he's an Ashigaru captain, but his regiment is Samurai. Which one is the correct one?

A followup--

A number of people have asked whether they are allowed to contact more than one person in Katana. The ansewer is YES.

However, understand that there will be risks if you send a bunch of PMs to them, because each of them have their own priorities, and when multiple people are contacted you may cause unpredctable reactions.

Also, not all Katana persons have been created, so you may not wanna jump the gun just yet.

Just two small questions then. Are you going to create all Katana NPCs in the near future (as in before Phase 14 ends at the latest)? And will you post here to inform us that all have been created once you're done (so that we simply know when to no longer wait)?

I can't make any promises in terms of when they will be done (this is true with anything I do for free, deadlines tend to discourage me from getting anything done). Once all NPCs are created, I'll let y'all know, but you can also see this in the Katana usergroup list becauase I'm working alphabetically (sort of). Once there's characters with names that start with Z, then it'll mean I'm done (it also means I have all characters finished in my head, and they just need to be created).

I know you don't like deadlines and the like, but I was wondering if you planned to do anything with Katana this phase? Or are activities more likely to kick off in a future phase?

EDIT: I mean this in the way will the nation itself participate in the war game, not explorations.

Well, if they're gonna do anything, it would have said so in the public DOI.

For example, the NPC nation Kanakan is exploring this phase, and Prandt attacked Novrgod... etc. If Katana was going to do something in phase 14, then it would have been listed there. Does that make sense?

Yeah it does, it's just that I wasn't sure as it was sitting there in the ocean so... innocently.

Well, there's probably a lot of stuff happening there. However, you're not gonna see it. It's not like there's CNN taking coverage there or anything.
