There is a game being released which has nothing to do with the movie coming up. Most of the games bearing The Simpson's brand have been pretty bad, although The Simpson's Hit and Run was enjoyable, albeit for about a day or so.

Sounds like it has comedy and detail engraved all over the game. Since it's not based on the movie, this means the creators literally have all the creative space they could ask for in designing the story which means this will be a totally original Simpsons game. Theres no restraints like it being "Simpsons Rugby" or "Simpsons Tennis." The most noticeable aspect of the game on the first glance is that it's cell-shaded, meaning it'll look more like a cartoon and more generally - like Springfield itself.

Who knows? Maybe this will be a Simpsons game that can live up to the brand. It is on PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

Yeah it was a great game, very hard but still, arcade games don't really count. Plus it was made by Konami wasn't it?
