Just wondering if anyone has been playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, either Red Rescue Team (GBA) or Blue Rescue Team (DS).
If you don't know what it is, it's an rpg where you play as pokemon themselves, not trailers. You're part of a rescue team that goes out and completes quests. You do things like rescue pokemon, deliver items, escort one pokemon to another.
Has anyone played? If so, what do you think?

I have been playing and all I can say right now is Nintendo should install a shotgun feature for the pelican. There are so many time I wish I could just shoot the damn thing bringing me more rescues when I am already in the middle of doing 3-4 of them. It's a neat game before. It's also a rip off of a game I can't quite recall right now that was on the playstation.

Iscalio is my hero lol ^^ Funny stuff!
I like the regular pokemon games better, but this one is pretty cute. The game said I was a charmander, then I did it again and got eevee, wit a different set of questions hehee, so I kept her :D
The concept of kicking the crap out of other pokemon til they say, hey! You're cool, I wanna join your team! Really amuses me ^^

And youve just sold it to me to go out and buy it, though saying that you get to finally kill something so irritable would have also been acceptable. :P

I was just thinking of grabbing a copy of this on my way home, but I forgot. XD I guess the game is pretty good, with all these approvals from you people. And the part where the game chooses a pokemon for you to use appeals to me very well, I want to see what pokemon goes with my personality. :P

Is there any rhyme or reason as to how to get them to join you besides them just joining? I must have slaughtered the entire Poocherina population trying to get one.

I tried playing Red Rescue, it said I was a Charmander and I chose Squirtle as my partner. I played quite a bit, then I stopped for some reason.

You have to have the corresponding friend area to get the pokemon. You can't recruit anyone in the very first dungeon though.
The way to know who you can recruit at the time, is when you're in a dungeon, open the menu, go into 'others' and then go to 'recruitment search' and it'll let you know who you an recruit on that floor.
Mind you, I think you can only do this after you beat Skarmony? I may be mistaken. I know you can't do it as soon as you start, but it isn't far into the game before you can recruit. When Skarmony is gone, I'm pretty sure that's when Wigglytuff comes to town and will sell you friend areas, which is where recruited pokemon live. So if you have their area, you can recruit them ^^

I play this when I'm off from class and I guess it's quite amusing....
Although I've killed many a pokemone that I've wanted to join on my team---I have their friend areas and all and I'm I even have diamond rank.....sigh....oh well
*slaughters a couple hundred more*
oh....the first time I did it I think the game said I was a squirtle? ....I retried it again thinking they'd re-ask the same questions (which they don't) and got charmander
.....well...alright then...I went with charmander....
Thought I didn't like him at first I've grown to like his flamethrower, metal claw, and smokescreen attacks :mrgreen:
