New Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children trailer.

I know there was a thread about Advent Children somewhere, but for the life of me, i can't find it...

Well, there's a new trailer for it, and it has a whole lot of new footage in it. Very impressive, i must say.

For now it's in japanese with no subtitles, and only available by streaming. A friend does say it was downloadable before... well, arh.

I'll update as soon as(and if) i find new sources and hopefully a translation.

I've been looking forward to this since i've seen the first screenshot, doesn't help that I'm a little bit of a FF7 fanboy, I just love the game's atmosphere and story, but this looks to be awesome.........

the approximate release date is what, like summer '05?

Some of you guys and galz are in the U.S.A right? well some of the websites that i've been on said that Final Fantasy Avent Children was supposed to be released around nowish in America... Okay now I know that the site is not to be trusted... whatever it was.
Oh and when it comes out, will it be in the cinemas or will it just be for sale as a DVD? it was also said that it will be released aaround the same time as Sony's PSP.

From what I read on adventchildren.net it is suppose to come out in the first quarter of 2005. I think that was for North America but I could be wrong. It also said that it was just going to be released to DVD.

That's a little different from what I heard. I heard that the only way you can see FF7 Advent Children is on the PSP.

I hope this movie is good, especially since game to movie adaptations usually end up badly ^_^;.

...but if I don't get this and Dirge of Cerebrus, even if they're pretty bad, I'm going to end up crying.

All the indications of this particular movie is that it's pretty good regardless of it's ties to an overrated rather mediocre at best game anyway. I mean sure it was the first of a revolutionary part of a great series but it wasnt as a whole all that great of a game. What it did have was a great story at least for the first half of the game or so and kind of trailed off at the end. However if this movie was done right it could be a great movie to pick up and I might even consider going to a japanese video store in one of the local malls and picking up a copy of it. Before you ask it's of course only movies there though, I dont if they would have it even though they have Japanese and chinese movies because they might be considered in North America though they would be selling a Japanese release.

FFVII sucks, but being the FF fan, and movie nerd I am I'll definetly grab this movie. =P

The Japanese voice sound really brilliant, I might just end up watching the Japanese track with english subs when it comes out here... or I might import a PSP version and watch it before it comes out on DVD here. Good thing UMD's are universal. ^^

I would get a PSP here in Canada but considering the fact that they are apparently going to be selling the darn thing for around four hundred dollars I think I will wait awhile before I will be purchasing that one. Namely until the price for the system is considerably more reasonable to my pocket book. However if games that I am interested in or movies or something of that nature come around I will pick them up. I just wont be able to play them or watch them until I buy the system but that wont speed up the process at all.

anywhere to download this latest trailer? I got 3 of the longer trailers, the first one they put out, the FFX-2 international one and the one from E3 last year, was there any others that are at least 2 mins long? would be great to get this one as well

i started to play FF7 onyl becuz I wanted to see this movie...lol...im not so far in (becuz im playing GT4 also) but it aint so bad...this will be the second FF game ive played (FFXI being the other)

Yep the fansubbed one isn't bad at all, nearly flawless. I watched the trailers and i was pretty impressed. It doesn't look corney or pointless like i expected it too. I was a pretty big fan of FF7 so i am sure i will pick up a copy of this one when it comes out. I wonder if Sephiroth will have any big part in the movie? I suspect that he really won't have that big of an effect, but rather they will just refer to him at some point in the movie. Of course i am basing this on nothing and one of you will probably have a better idea of his role than me.

Oooooh!!! Where do you get this fansubbed version? (I'll probably end up searching it, but just in case I don't find it...)
And I agree about the japanese voices. I love them!!!!!! Especially Vincents voice. So hot! I'll definetly be watching with subs. The trailers and screenshots are so beautiful. Even if the movie sucks, I'll be mesmerized by the graphics and voices at least!
