-Pandemonium Conference Room E, 2:45, the day of the incursion-

Quinten Kaiser had lead Andrew and Glenn through a quick series of passages into his preferred conference room. It was walled off, with no windows. The walls were a reddish brown false wood décor, with blue drapes hanging down across every other segment of them, as they were arranged in an octagonal pattern. The floor was a spackled red coloring tile. There the three sat – alone – with guards just outside around a small conference table, made of a dark brown oak, emblazoned into the glass gilding of the top of the table was the Akigiyama logo – a black circle with a golden unfilled circle inside that had a protrusion upwards from the bottom, having two soft circular bumps inside of it.

Kaiser had a wine and three wine glasses (one for each chair) ready before the meeting. Kaiser himself was wearing a black suit and black pants, and black dress shoes. He had a white collared shirt underneath and a blue tie with the Akigiyama logo on top of the showing portion of the upper loop. He quickly turned his attention to his guests, after pouring their glasses full, as well as his own, which he quickly sipped after pouring.

“Gentleman,” Kaiser paused with a grin, “I know we have had our… disagreements in the past, however I am willing to listen to the honorable President of the New United Nations, and a representative from the rebellion. You do still call yourselves that these days, regardless of the Tech Corps fall many years ago, am I correct?” Kaiser asked, addressing Glenn, who looked very awkward in his suit and situation.

Glenn coughed, “Yes, that’s true, though that’s mainly due to a lack of creativity then an actual statement of rebellion. It’s also to honor the late Midnight, who was the founder of the group.” Glenn paused, then continued, “These days we mainly carry out what you might call counter terrorism. Something I’m sure you know very little about.” He grimaced, not expecting to be able to phrase it so well.

Back when Andrew was still the leader of the rebels, he often said something along those lines, and now Marcus did as well, so Glenn had heard the phraseology before.

Andrew, looking very natural in his own suit which was much like Kaisers - only with a red tie with no logo on it – grinned hearing Glenn do so well with the “political talk” as it were. He himself nodded, “That is generally how it is regarded most of the time these days. At any rate Mr. Kaiser, we had some questions for you, if you wouldn’t mind?” Andrew asked softly, but with strength behind the softness.

Quinten Kaiser winced a bit but nodded graciously, “Indeed, you wished to know what I know about the… unfortunate … incident in Ohio. I’m afraid you know as much as I do, Mr. President.” He gave a dark grin, “But, if I am speaking to Andrew Lizar the warrior, and not the president of the New United Nations, I tell you to look very carefully with the information you undoubtedly will attempt to obtain one way or another here in Pandemonium. I haven’t figured your plan out yet, Mr. Lizar, but I know you have one.”

Glenn frowned, had Quinten Kaiser found them out? Would the information Marcus obtained be purposefully misleading?

Andrew however kept his game face, “Indeed, I will do that, Mr. Kaiser, that’s why I’m talking to you.” He said with a dead set stare with his blue on blue eyes piercing into Kaiser. He would not let up, “However, I was hoping you would be more direct. Though I shouldn’t be surprised, given our pasts.”

Kaiser grinned back, “Why, I don’t believe I know what you’re talking about, Mr. Lizar.”

Andrew grinned back, pulling from his pocket a diskette. He handed it to Kaiser, “This is one of many backups of information we at the New United Nations have regarding some of Akiyama’s more controversial activities. We have thus far withheld this information from public discourse, in order to prevent panic and despair in the population. We have thus allowed you to keep operating under this understanding. I promise you this, Quinten Kaiser, if you allow the chaos that is going on with One Nation and Ohio to continue, by feeding misinformation, or withholding information, we will no longer offer this courtesy. Take a look, I believe the recollector plans, as well as the mystic battery system are in there, as well as a few choice others. The choice is yours.” Andrew said with a calm determination.

Kaiser looked like he had been shot in the chest with this last exchange, he took one good look at the diskette, and put it into a reading device on a computer in the room, as information populated, his eyes went wide. He hit a button on that computer, and spoke through it like an intercom, “Agent IV, cancel project archipelago, now!” He said in an aggravated tone as he closed the connection.

He turned back to Andrew, “And…what assurances do I have you won’t be releasing this obviously false information to the public anyway. We can prove the falseness of your documents, but the time it will take to repair our image afterwards is a cost I wish to avoid.” Kaiser said in a just barely collected voice.

Andrew grinned, “If we get through this, I will not have the information released. You have my word, and unlike you, I keep my word.”

Kaiser sighed, “Fine, we will make this transaction – but if this information ever does leak afterwards, I will leak our conversation, showing you hid information as well, and we will burn together.”

Andrew chuckled, “You needn’t worry, it won’t come to that.”

Kaiser nodded, “Now go, before I change my mind and have you two shot.”

Andrew and Glenn nodded, and left Kaiser in his room, they were escorted back to their transport by Akigiyama Security, and took off just in time to see a small ship fly off from lower Pandemonium. “I see Marcus finished his job, good. We will soon be on the verge of solving this case.” Andrew said confidently.

Glenn nodded, “Still, was it wise to risk yourself politically that way?” he asked.

Andrew chuckled, “Oh, that diskette’s a total forgery, we wish we had intelligence like that. But that we guessed close enough to scare Kaiser means we know where to begin looking. Kaiser should be figuring that out soon.” Andrew said with a grin.

Andrew then received a call from Watts at rebel HQ in Houston, he immidiatly put it on the viewscreen.

“Andrew, I just began decoding the information Marcus recovered. We need everyone here at HQ right away. This is going to get very messy.” Watts said worryingly.

“We’re on our way.” Andrew said strongly, as he redirected his transport there.
