Marcus was walking down the hallways with an armed escort on either side. They weren’t worried about him attacking, but with the assassination and the recent furthering of the tensions with Ohio, it was thought a good idea for the UCPA to show extra protection to its guests. Marcus wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for Andrew’s trust in Michael Wight.

Marcus was dressed in a military dress uniform for UCPA soldiers, meant to make him look perfectly ordinary; unless you knew his face you wouldn’t have known it was him. It was pretty smart. Of course, once he was inside he saw there was little they could do for Andrew, who was in his usual UN attire. It’s a little harder to hide someone that famous.

“I see they called you in too Andy.” Marcus commented casually.

Andrew nodded, “If this was anyone besides Michael Wight, I wouldn’t have bothered, but he’s one of the last truly good men in the UCPA left.” He looked closely at Marcus before chuckling lightly, “I see they actually succeeded in ‘conscripting’ you.”

Marcus frowned, “It seemed a sensible idea to me. Not all of us have the luxury of being gods of light.” He rasped back.

Andrew grimaced at this, “I suppose that’s true.” He said with a bit of a laugh.

The two entered the council room of Michael Wight, their respective escorts waiting outside the doors as guards.

Michael Wight smiled, “Thank you both for coming, please sit down.” He gestured.

The brothers nodded and did so, Michael did so after they did.

“As you both know I’ve been doing some undercover work in the Ohio and One Nation camps.” He began.

“A smart idea, I might add.” Marcus commented.

Michael smiled nervously from the interruption, but kept his composure so he might continue, “Well, we’ve found something. It seems the Akigiyama have been supplying the Ohio side in return for ownership of the land, any land Ohio conquers, and rebuilding rights.”

Marcus quirked an eyebrow, “Well that would cement that it wasn’t Karn who ordered the kill on Reynolds. If his goal was to not ‘sell out’ then this would make no damn sense.”

Michael Wight nodded, “My thoughts exactly.”

Andrew cursed under his breath, “Quinten Kaiser. Even after all this time you still can’t help yourself.” He said somewhat upset.

Marcus grinned, “Well, this definitely makes a change. I know all three of us had a different suspect, given present surroundings is best left unsaid. But Quinten Kaiser…”

Michael shook his head slightly, “I haven’t got much on it, but our old suspect has some sort of a connection to Akigiyama.”

Marcus clasped his hands lightly, “And the puzzle pieces come together a little more. As much as I hate that fourth dimensional maze from hell, it looks like a visit to Pandemonium may be in order.”

Andrew nodded, “Good idea. He’s the reason we don’t see Jarrok or Janus much anymore, and NOW he pulls this stunt? I’m going to give him a piece of my mind.”

“I was thinking of more of a piece of my fist Andy, you might want to sit this one up, political office and all that jazz.” Marcus replied.

“I wasn’t elected to the UN to sit on my hands.” Andrew responded.

“If I might make a suggestion,” Michael interrupted, “Kaiser’s not the talkative sort. You might try hacking in, rather then breaking in.”

Andrew got a devilish grin on his face at this mentioning, “If you’re going to hack it, they’ll probably notice you since most of their stuff is only accessible on site. But maybe I can keep him busy.”

“While you do that, I’ll hack Pandemonium’s brains out. I love it when a plan comes together.” Marcus grinned.

Michael smiled. THIS is why time after time the Freedom Fighters won. Sure, they were powerful, but usually their enemies were even more so. It was the teamwork, “Gentlemen, I may be able to offer some assistance with this plan.”
