Gil-Galad and I were talking about having a French Open prediction game. We hope that some of you join the game. Unfortunately I can't be online every day of the whole tournament so we decided on the following rules:

Every player selects 5 players from the men, and five from the women, and we score points depending on how well those five players do. 1 point for winning the 1st round, 2 for the second, 3 for the third, 5 for the fourth, 10 for the quarters, 15 for the semis, and 25 for winning the tournament. Also, a bonus of 5 points for correctly predicting the overall winner.

Gil-Galad:
Men:
Roger Federer * winner of the tournament
Rafael Nadal
Juan Martin Del Potro
Gael Monfils
Novak Djokovic

Women:
Dinara Safina * winner of the tournament
Serena Williams
Venus Williams
Jelena Jankovic
Caroline Wozniaki

ViktorFan:
Men:
Rafael Nadal *winner of the tournament
David Ferrer
Fernando Verdasco
Fernando Gonzalez
Juan Martin Del Potro

Women:
Dinara Safina *winner of the tournament
Alona Bondarenko
Elena Dementieva
Serena Williams
Agniezka Radwanska

Ah! I should have picked Verdasco, he played so fantastically in the Australian Open.

The first day seemed like it went by without any surprises, as far as I can see.

I think it was a fluke. A very lucky fluke for Roger, as now the only two major threats he had are out of the tournament! He could still get upset by a strong player like Monfils or Murray, though.
