Fourth and final sticky:

In this thread I'll be providing brief summaries of each post for those of you without the time/patience (when we're over 100 posts you'll know what I mean) to read it all. This should be updated routinely. This is very basic - major names, events, facts, etc - but should be enough to get you caught up if you're behind and need to know what's going on, or want a quick refresher. Greater attention will be given to introductions and those posts intrinsic to the main plot. You should still read the very basic backstory synopsis[/url:31h5or9d] to understand the general setting. Authors, if you have any issues whatsoever with how I summarized your posts, no matter how seemingly petty, let me know and I will correct them without a hassle.
Note that SPOILER CITY
follows:

001 - Introduction: Vigilantes by Shad on Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:39 am
Introduces the three main story characters, NPCs if you will, around which the main plot will revolve:
Clarence Croft: Leader of One Nation, a volunteer army in the United States with an aim to reinstating central control over areas of the country that have drifted apart following the plague. Croft opposes the UCPA for intruding in American affairs. Croft is violent with opposition but honest, and does not display signs of ulterior motives. In this post he liberates a town in Texas from subjugation from a local gang. The people are thankful, but it is revealed that in past 'liberations' he was not welcome.
Samuel Reynolds: Leader of one such area, the self proclaimed nation of Ohio. Reynolds is revealed to fear Croft and be generally concerned with the well-being of his people. Ohio is a peaceful area and the people are generally content with self-rule. Reynolds also opposes the UCPA, for their financial mismanagement of the country and manipulation of the US government.
David Holmes: President of the UCPA, recently acquired the position when President Gordon resigned over the Dr. Righteous situation. Holmes and the UCPA are not revealed to be corrupt, but place their global interests over the fate of the United States.

002 - Reflections by Shad on Thu Apr 30, 2009 11:59 am
Introduces returning character Glenn Franklin. Glenn is a Freedom Fighter currently uninvolved with the group, and spends his time practicing swordsmanship. His sword, Zicron Blade, passed down from deceased character Shadow, is revealed to hold unknown powers.

Introduces Archy's characters Father Joan Valdes Zapata, a seemingly normal preacher, and Rajiv Suresh, a taxi driver who claims to feel called to help people in any way he can. The two exchange contact information.

The three discuss restrictions the UCPA wishes to place on the use of magic within the mystic community. The two parties do not see eye to eye, but agree to further discussions. While Reynolds desires peaceful negotiations, Karn expresses war-like tendencies, but is shown to be faithful to his leader. It is revealed that One Nation has attacked independent groups outside of the Ohio border and is forcing the most disagreeable gang leaders of the area to take refuge in Ohio in a possible siege build-up. 076 - Final Contemplations by Shad on Fri Aug 07, 2009 11:30 pm
Reynolds finishes his speech for a ceremony that will mark Ohio and One Nation's compromise, and talks with his secretary. His speech is shown to close with the line "'May our solidarity unite this nation once more, not simply as colors on a map, but in spirit, practice, and purpose," and he muses that "what [his speech will] provoke could kick off a whole new kind of war."

077 - Bad Moon Rising by Shad on Sat Aug 08, 2009 1:32 pm
Everyone arrives for the ceremony. Michael Wight does not attend, as the UCPA was not invited, but Red and Blue provide unofficial UCPA security. The official compromise grants Ohio one year to negotiate reentry with partial atonomy, during which time One Nation will stand down. If a further agreement cannot be reached in this time, One Nation will send in an occupying force. What follows is a major spoiler and will be hidden herein. Highlight the following text and paste it into the reply box to view: Reynolds speech begins as follows: "Citizens of the United States of America, let this day be remembered not as an end but as the first step towards something greater. In fear my people resigned to isolation, and in that isolation we found temporary comfort, but that time is gone. Now we are geared for war, to fight that which we fear. Those things - corruption, misappropriation, greed - will surely consume us if we bow readily as a conquered nation. But we have not been defeated, and we will not give in. We will attack from new angles to rescue a higher cause. This, at its heart, is not a war for liberation or unification; it is a war to restore fading ideals." At this point an assassin kills him. Red, Blue, Karn, Tre, Bobby, and the Freedom Fighters all help to subdue him. Glenn, Tre, and Bobby are shocked to recognize the man.

Costanza recalls a dark past in which he kills another mystic over a woman, then denounces Croft to his face in an officer's meeting for mismanagement. Meanwhile, Wight reasons that someone within the UCPA was behind the assassination: A few days prior to it, Holmes had told Wight "We gave Reynolds a means to keep fighting. He shot us down." (post 077) Why was the UCPA offering to help Reynolds fight when he was clearly willing to make peace?

Marcus questions Wight on his discovery from post 087. Wight proves to know little about the aid UCPA offered to Reynolds, and then Marcus drops a bombshell. Reynolds had informed Andrew of his visit from Holmes, and reported that "the condition for the deployment of UPCA troops was that once they were given, Ohio would not be allowed to surrender. They would have to fight until the end." This is of course a huge violation of UCPA policy, and coupled with Glenn's lead on Akigiyama some direction begins to form--the investigation must focus on the UCPA and Akigiyama.

Croft says that his role in reuniting the country is complete, and that the next step rests on Holmes. Suggesting that Holmes can right his wrongs, he hands him a gun. Unwilling to admit this to the UCPA counsel, he was unable to sway them from providing Karn with the same arms they'd intended to provide Reynolds. 126 - Epilogue: Astral And Arcane (part 1) by JasonPaul on Sun May 02, 2010 10:03 pm
Khali battles Krill Mobius, who Jaearr informs her is, like himself, immortal. During the fight, her attempt to cast Almaghest goes awry and she wakes up in New Belexes with strange new powers that she can't quite control.
In the next sequence, Miwan explains how she had discovered that Dr. Righteous originally sold the Mobius Bracelet to Soljin years ago, and from there tracked Akira to the remains of the original mystic home, Belexes. Akira, under the influence of the Mobius Bracelet just as Soljin had been, was attempting to carry out a sacrifice. Dr. Righteous arrived and got the bracelet back, at which point Jaearr rescued the group.
The background of the Mobius Bracelet is revealed:
"Jaearr told me of the story of his homeworld of Motaria," Miwan explained. "It was a world not unlike ours, until one day a wizard named Baron Mobius created an artifact that began draining the mana from the world. It was none other than the Mobius Bracelet itself. Jaearr and a few others stopped Baron Mobius long ago, but it was too late. The Bracelet was already threatening to destroy Motaria. They could do nothing to stop it, so four of the strongest Motarians cast a long-life spell on themselves to become immortal, in the hopes that some day they could restore Motaria. One of them was Jaearr. The others were Jaearr's teacher Beldoss, their mutual friend Count Yannik, and Baron Mobius' son, Krill Mobius."
Krill Mobius and Dr. Righteous were one and the same. Krill had found a way to sacrifice another planet to restore Motaria, but being immortal he could not carry out the ritual himself. When Soljin was unsuccessful, Akira became his next target, but Jaearr won the battle, imprisoned Krill, and left with him and the bracelet for another planet. Khali's accident occurred during this final showdown.

The process left her fused with the arcane, tormented and unstable but still with a degree of self control. Anwyn refuses to kill her even at her own request.
