The Battle for the Wilderness: Nameless Lands vs. The Holy Kingdom of Harmonia (Abarro)

As the world wages war on the Holy Kingdom, the forest, too, becomes a battleground unable to escape the flames of battle. High Priest Saben is forced to split his numerous forces throughout the land. Sai Fujiwara, the Bishop of Harmonia is given command of the legions in Abarro, but the multiple fronts have Sai issuing orders through their young general, UberYuber.

The Nameless Land battalion finally reaches the Harmonian border with Harmonia's troops awaiting their arrival. Standing in the middle of the Nameless Land's army stood the vampire, Midori, a skilled general known for her cunning and tactics.

Midori extends her hand commanding the soldiers to advance. The Harmonians quickly follow the charge of the opposing army, and a battle ensues.

Round 1:

UberYuber commands his own Cavalry unit numbering 7143 to take point and form the initial siege of the battle. The Blue Moon Bloodlust, gallop fiercely towards the enemy striking down everything in its path like a scythe through wheat.

But Midori merely smiles at the effort and commands her Magician regiment numbering 16,596 to retaliate. The earth begins to shake and rumble as the Fluir raise their staffs to the sky. Midori begins a chant that stops the Blue Moon Bloodlust in their tracks. The Sindarian incantation forms chasms in the earth as uprooted trees cooperated to damage the Harmonian regiment. When the dust settled, The Blue Moon Bloodlust was completely annihilated while the Fluir remain standing with no casualties. General UberYuber is recovered, but heavily wounded.

Nameless Lands: 1
Harmonia: 0

Round 2:

In an effort to provide a safe passage for the fallen general, Lieutenant Eloriel provides suppressing fire using his Archer regiment. The 7069 archers fire volley after volley in the strategic escape.

Midori realizes the attempted retreat and orders Smirn's 5770 Infantry to push the offensive. Using pure skill and level heads, Smirn is able to shield the arrows and break through the Harmonian line with no casualties on their side. Eloriel loses 5770 Harmonian troops but is able to get General UberYuber out of danger.

"General Midori . . . what are your orders?"

"Advance. Give them no time to rest."

With the defeat of their general, UberYuber, the Harmonian forces begin to crumble. Troops begin to flee from the front line, and the Harmonians are forced to retreat from the battlefield. Seeing an opportunity to finish the enemy, Midori orders the Nameless Army to march.

His morale high from his previous victory, Smirn offers to lead the vanguard. Midori agrees, and Smirn's unit begins it's charge into the enemy lines. Smirn's 5770 infantrymen rush across the field, slaying any Harmonians who resist. But in his zeal Smirn fails to notice that he is being led into a trap.

As Smirn enters the forest of Abarro, he is beset from all sides by the 9004 infantry under Sierra Mikain. Smirn's men have spent all their energy in their dash across the battle field, and have become isolated from the main army. Sierra Mikain's unit pushes it's advantage, boxing in the enemy and inflicting grave damage.

Realizing that his unit is lost, Smirn gathers his remaining men and forces his way through the enemy line back to the main army. After apologizing for his failure to General Midori, Smirn finds that he has lost 4502 soldiers. Sierra Mikain has lost only 2885.

With the advance of the advance of the Nameless Lands halted, the Harmonian soldiers take heart and turn to face their enemy. Midori, sensing that the tide of the battle is changing, orders Meruhease to lead his 2599 Calvarymen into battle.

Meruhease lets out a violent war cry and charges. But Algus and his 7035 archers quickly ready themselves and bombard the approaching enemy. The swarm of arrows fall down upon the cavalry, killing many horses, but Meruhease refuses to retreat. He pushes ahead and breaks through to the archer unit and manages to slay 1299 soldiers.

But the act is in vain. Meruhease has lost too many men in his passionate charge, and the archers easily defeat the remaining calvary. Seeing his unit destroyed, the wounded Meruhease retreats, as Algus's unit continues to rain arrows down on him. The Harmonian army seizes the momentum and pushes the Nameless Lands back, reclaiming much of what they had lost previously.

Night begins to fall, and the Harmonian advance subsides. With neither side having an advantage, both sides retreat to their defensive positions and begin to plan for the final decisive battle at Abarro.

Results:

Harmonia:
Sierra Mikain (-2885 Soldiers
Algus (-1299 soldiers)

Nameless Lands:
Meruhease (annihilated)
Smirn (-4502 soldiers)

Harmonia wins this turn.

A month had passed since the beginning of the Nameless Lands' campaign into Abarro and neither force had made any further moves. Minor skirmishes had erupted between the two nations, but both were waiting and watching for signs of weakness to appear.

The Nameless Lands army had been waiting for fresh supplies for a week, but they supply train did not arrive. In its place came a single wounded soldier, who told General Midori that bandits had ambushed the supply convoy during a treacherous mountain passage. Distraught and with no hope of receiving new supplies, Midori ordered the Nameless troops to withdrawl.

Then a spy entered the main tent and informed Midori that a large transport of supplies were being delivered to the Harmonian army by Ardus and his 7015 archers. Quickly taking hold of the opportunity, Midori sent Semeru Hakujin and his 2138 cavalry to capture the supplies. Semeru Hakujin moved to set up an ambush along the path of the Harmonians.

Semeru Hakujin split his men into two groups and positioned them along the road. After letting the Harmonians pass, the Nameless Lands men sprung from their positions and cornered the supplies, slaying 1069 of the men guarding it. Confident in his victory Semeru Hakujin ordered the men to take the carts back to camp.

Just then the Nameless Landers heard thousands of bows singing as their arrows flew, and the supply wagons burst into flames. The soldiers began to panic as flaming arrows fell down upon them and the flames spread through the forest. The screams of burning men were heard for miles, and Ardus's archers moved in for the kill. Fighting his way out the trap alone, Semeru Hakujin retreated back to the base as his men perished.

When the news of the loss reached her, Midori ordered an immediate retreat, but the Harmonians had already seized the advantage and were pressing the attack. Desperate for time, Midori ordered Gunloc to protect the rear as the main army made its retreat. Deploying his 2535 Infantrymen, Gunloc dug in and made ready for the approaching Harmonians under the command of Sierra Mikain.

The 6119 Harmonian infantry charged at the Nameless Lands, who gave heavy resistance despite being vastly outnumbered. They managed to kill 1267 of Sierra Mikain's men before being completely wiped out themselves. The Harmonians continued to chase the enemy army, but they had already gone beyond their reach thanks to Midori's vampire magic. The Harmonians returned to their homes and celebrated their victory over the Nameless Lands.

Result:
Ardus (-1069) wins against Semeru Hakujin (annihilated)

Sierra Mikain (-1267) wins against Gunloc.

No 3rd round.

Harmonia wins, defends Abarro.
