Hi
i jsut wanted to inform the Suikogaiden Fans out here, that I've found
a good source of ripped backgrounds and more from these two fantastic Suikoden text adventures.
Here is the link

With a translation of all of the dialogues of the games, you could now easily code the games in english for pc. But you can also look at them, download them whatever ;) |

Wow! Those are pretty awesome. They also have nice pictures of characters though a bit flattened. |

I haven't played these gaidens but I like the backgrounds. Thank you for sharing them, Leon. _________________

Oh cool =D
I have alot of the Suikogaiden 2 scenes and things in my art book but it's nice to see everything from both games
but yeah...it's a pity they're all squished... _________________

Anyone know what kind of editing I have to do so I can make these stretched backgrounds look larger and better sized in relation to height and width? |

Cheers for the link! All my images of the suikogaidens were taken off a TV so blurry as (I think I got them from suikosource). Having the originals is awesome and it meant that I could paste them onto the originals from suikosource and resize the distorted sprite to the correct proportions! Hence, my avatar is now hi-res Valeria :) _________________

Well, you can stretch it using one of the Image options in Paint, but the result will not be too good.

Hmm, having the translation of all the dialogues, one can remake the game, with the images and translations, using simple visual novel engines in the PC. _________________

I did it in Photoshop, it smoothes the distorted image a lot better and if you're so inclined you can then run filters over it to fix up the image. I didn't bother with the latter, my avatar isn't as sharp as the original distorted image but its proportionate and vastly better than my old one so I'm happy. _________________
