1st Turn

The citizens of Muse cheer in unison as the brave Jowstonian soldiers leave the proud walls of the historical heart of the Alliance. These soldiers form the center of the allied warfront heading out for a full-scale assault on the Highland Kingdom. But unbeknownst to them, troops under the White Wolf Banner have left Fort Retto shortly before and are now heading for Jowston Hill.

Hours later, the scouts of the massive vanguards of both sides have reported the approach of the enemy. The commanders of the two advance parties both decide to order their artillery units to attack, hoping that they will be able to decimate the enemy with ranged attacks before the main battle.

Little Nell of Jowston leads 5518 mages into battle, and soon she encounters the vast army of 8000 rune-users under the command of the Black-Eared Wolf of Highland, Kuromimi. Frightened in the light of the enemy numbers, Little Nell orders her wind mages to cast protective Storm Warning spells - but it's too late: the Highland wizards have already raised a cataclysmic ice storm which now wreaks havoc among the Jowston soldiers. Razor-sharp icicles dismember the screaming young men, while strong squalls throw others through the air and back to the ground, crushing their bodies on the rocky ground. A few Jowston mages have managed to finish their Storm Warning spells just in time though, and the massive backlash of the ice storm now hits the Highland troops as the power of the wind rune reflects the blizzard spells; hundreds of Highlanders are killed in the process by their own magic.
Both commanders order retreat to flee the now uncontrollable deadly storm, but Kuromimi only lost 2759 soldiers, whereas 4000 of Little Nell's men found an icy death.

Not far away, but nontheless unaware of the massacre which just took place, Falcon Critical spots the enemy and orders his 9055 archers to send forth volley after volley of arrows. Morrigun of Jowston, seeing the menacing dark cloud of arrows approaching, orders the 5500 battlemages under his command to unleash a protective barrier of fire. The chain-casted flame pillar spells form a gargantuan wall of raging fire. Many arrows burn to ashes in the inferno, but apparently the magic was not strong enough. Thousands of arrows are still able to break through the fire defense and strike down on the huddled magic-users - 4000 Jowston mages die in the rain of arrows, causing the chain-casted magic to collapse. The fire storm ceases and leaves the Jowstonians exposed, leaving Morrigun no other choice than to order a full retreat. But Falcon Crticial knows no mercy and orders to shoot at the fleeing wizards; the remaining 1500 fall in the volley of arrows, and only Morrigun himself is able to escape.

In the light of the disastrous defeats the remainder of the Jowstonian army withdraws in order to regroup.

Results
Highland 2
Jowston 0

Thus, there is no need for round 3; Highland wins this turn.

Now, the leaders must come up with the battle plan for the second turn.

2nd turn

Signal horns and agitated voices resound in the Jowston camp as adrich and his 7292 archers run toward the inferno. The light of the countless fireballs is illuminting the night, as Chiepoo's magicians throw volley after volley of their deadly spells at the attacking soldiers of Highland commander FF6Sage. After yesterday's victory the Highlanders apparently became confident, and instead of allowing their troops some rest they started yet another offensive in the dark of the night.
2750 of the 8008 Highland soldiers die in the fire blasts before FF6Sage's infantry reaches Chiepoo's unit and starts reaping a bloody harvest among the young Jowston mages. adrich, who has now arrived at the battlefield, is not able to help Chiepoo's unit, since he knows that shooting into melee in this darkness would kill as much friends as enemies. Just as he is about to order his bowmen to enter melee some of his men spot another Highland unit — it is Falcon Critical with his 9055 snipers, who apparently still hasn't shed enough blood after obliterating Morrigun's unit yesterday.
Both archer units start to shoot at the same time, and while the bad visibility conditions cause many arrows to miss their target, thousands of projectiles still find their mark.

As more and more of his men die around him, adrich realizes that the enemy is slowly getting the upper hand. To save the lives of his remaining men, he reluctantly orders retreat.
At the same time, Chiepoo's magicians cannot hold out anymore against the enemy as well. The survivors flee in all directions, but the remains of over 4000 Jowstonians stay where they are.

Completely demotivated, the remaining soldiers of the Jowston army soon start to retreat as well, ignoring the orders of their generals. Thus, the Highland invaders reach Muse without encountering further resistance.

Results:
Round 1- Chiepoo (-4004) is defeated by FF6sage (-2750)
Round 2- adrich (-4527) is defeated by Falcon Critical (-3646)

Highland wins this turn. Highland has won two turns, and thus is the winner of this battle.

Jowston Hill is now conquered by Highland.
