I was just looking at the wierd Al thread, and a great Queen song came on. I wanted to get other peoples opions of thier favorite songs. Unfortunatly for me, there is just too much to chose from. Maybe it'll help me decide. In case anyone was curious the song was Somebody to Love. _________________ If anybody asks about the avatar, I did it for Jess. |

Hee hee...I've been a total 80s freak as of late. Let's see...
Any cheesy duet like Atlantic Starr's Always or Somewhere Out there by James Ingram and Linda Ronstadt
cheesy songs by REO Speedwagon (and on a lesser level, songs by Chicago)
I'll Be There For You by Bon Jovi
anything by Hall & Oates...seriously...any damn thing (Kiss On My List, You Make My Dreams, Everytime You Go Away, Private Eyes, I Can't Go For That, Maneater, One on One, Out of Touch...er, and so on)
a couple other guilty pleasures I won't list
There's a lot more, but I'll end it here... too many love songs anyway :P |

The 80's weren't as good as the 90's. but still of course in any ten year period there's going to be some memorable music made. I have a few choices.
Steve Miller Band - Abracadabra
Queen - Crazy little thing called love
U2 - Gloria
David Bowie feat. Stevie Ray Vaughan - Let's dance
Tears for Fears - Head over heels
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Texas Flood
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Kool Moe Dee - Wild Wild West
I don't really like alot of that tacky poppy stuff like Dexy's Midnight Runners and Culture Club that defined the 80's. Alot of people forget that there was also alot of good rock released then, too.
...Oh, and Kool Moe Dee f'n kicks. |

I have turned to the 80's for some new tunes because the 90's has nothing to offer me anymore. Yes, I have sunk that low, and have actually come out with some slammin new beats.
My favorite is probably Take On Me by Aha, though. That's the song that drew me back. |

That is a question that I could spend hours answering as I grew up in that decade and have so many favorites. I like all of the rock groups and most of the pop groups. Old and nearly forgotten groups such WHAM and the Go-Go's, Bananarama, The Bengals and harder groups like Motley Crue, Poison, and all the other rock groups. _________________
