So for some odd reason, my computer is facing registry problems once again. This happened earlier this year, with startup problems like blue screens of death randomly appearing while starting up, .dll files going missing, ActiveX errors randomly appearing and extreme slow down.
Last time, I just paid my usual computer guy to fix it, but I know there's a few computer savvy people on the site, and before I dish out the 100 bucks to have him fix it. I want to see if anybody has any suggestions. _________________ Be awed by our prowess!

well if you're missing .dll files, there are websites online where you can redownload them to replace corrupted or deleted .dll's. _________________

That's what I am doing, but I'd love to solve the problem once and for all, rather than just delaying it. _________________ Be awed by our prowess!

Have you tried 'RegCure'??
I worked wonders on my PC. My PC was very very slow, files missing, freezing and crashing......i did not know what the hell was going on so one of the guys at work recommended 'RegCure'
Of course, if you are going to use 'RegCure' be sure to create a back-up/system restore point just incase, as with all these 'repair' programs. |

What's your "computer skills" level man? That sounded nerdish... I mean, do you know how to format the harddrive? _________________ DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! |

Maybe you should try a registry cleaner program. It'll optimize and delete unneeded keys. |

You've probably already checked this but if this a recurrent thing then you may have some nasty virus which comes back to life every so often. _________________

My computer skills range from incompetent to "Oh look, I turned it on without blowing it up! Yay!" with that said, I do know how to format my computer, though I'd rather it not come to that.
Anyways I actually have RegCure on my computer and ran it. It helped some, but I'm still experiencing really bad slowdowns downloading wise. Pages don't fully load or take forever to load. I think I'm going to just break down and send it in. It's getting to be a pain in the butt I don't want to deal with. _________________ Be awed by our prowess!

All fixed now! I fixed most of the registry and startup problems myself. One of the start programs I rarely use anymore became corrupted and was the cause of most of the problems. And my slowness was uh.. cause my modem went stupid.. Unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed that problem.. Can't believe how simple it was.
Anyways problems solved! Thanks for the help!
