PS3 to dominate in the future?

THis is definitely true.

After all, it was lack of third party support that almost doomed the Gamecube—if fact, if the 'Cube hadn't had franchises like Zelda and Mario games that belonged to Nintendo alone (thus ensuring exclusivity), it would have practically blown up in the hanger, so to speak. Sony, unfortunately, does not own most of its trademark franchises, and therefore is reliant upon the whims of the third parties who are (just like anyone else) in it for the money.

As you say, overconfidence is Sony's cardinal sin in this case...
