Originally I made it have no dither because I wanted the bg to be transparent but it dithered. Oh well. Looks great on forums with white bgs.

Very nice! I like the way you overlayed all the different backrounds and characters and also some of the runes thrown in there. And the fonts you choose are very fitting.
My faves are the Yuber one and the Luc one. :) :) |

But you don't have to be a good/great artist to make great looking pictures. Your banners are proof of it. Simplicity is usually the best ;)
I make mine way too complicated and detailed that they end up looking sloppy sometimes :)
Anyways, here're mine. I've made quite a lot that they're hosted almost everywhere and it's hard for me to keep track of all of them XD

Wow, Midori, looks like your skill have not rusted from time to time. They are mostly looking good, and....technicful (is that a word?)
So sad I don't have good skill in photoshop other than layering.
