It is very strange, when I log in I do not see any new post appear with the red icon, and I know that they exist because some are posted at times when my computer is turned off and i'm asleep. _________________

Well, I would hope not, because no one has my password and it's very difficult to guess. But I will change it in anycase. _________________

I was joking.
This sort of thing happens for various reasons. Sometimes firewall programs interfere with your cookies, resulting in stored info (such as what thread you've seen) getting zapped.
Other times your browser may have automatically updated while you slept, resulting in the cookie getting zapped.
Someone else may have used your computer and changed the browser settings, zapping the cookies in the process. |

What happens with me is if I try to go to Suikox, then either the browser fails or I get impatient and try again. After that, I come to Suikox fully logged out and when I log back in, there are no posts. _________________

Yeah, impatience tends to have that sort of consequence. Your cookie will then think you've already visited the site, and thus your "read status" will be reset. |

My problem is the reverse. I keep having to use the 'mark all threads read' button because the red flames never go away, no matter how many times I view the threads associated with them. It makes it hard to sort out which forums actually have new posts in them, in which threads, and which ones don't.
Probably a cookie issue as well. Stupid browser. _________________

I experience the same thing. The only thing different is that I can see my account username in the "Who's logged in?" or something like that bar and yet I'm logged out. At first, I panicked because I thought someone else was using my account until I realized that I caused it myself. _________________

I just noticed that if you turn Zexen Activity Levels into an acronym, it makes ZAL. Oh the irony! =P |

The site doesn't update that list every second or anything. It's updated every 5 minutes or so. Thus, even if you log-out you'll be listed as being logged in if you logged out a moment ago. |

If you use FIrefox this may be because you're browsing with different tabs. I often have this problem as even after you refresh a main tab in a forum, if you've read a thread in a seperate tab it will not recognize it as read. _________________
