I've only read the Suikoden III manga, (and only some of that), and I have seen two different names for the Mantor town.
It seems to be Lu Buque in the game, and Lebuque in the manga. So, I was wondering, which would be a better translation? _________________

It's Le Buque in the game, not Lu Buque.
Buque means ship in Spanish, but the article "le" may imply that it is supposed to be French (Spanish would be El Buque; le also exists in Spanish, but it is a personal pronoun in dative, which doesn't make much sense for a town name). But as far as I know buque doesn't mean anything in French (although there's a town in France named Le Buque). Maybe it was supposed to be Le Busqué? That would mean "Hooknose" and could be an allusion to Le Buque's rock formations. |

I see. So, why do I see people using Lu Buque so often? _________________

depends on where; it's probably a typo if you've seen it on the boards. _________________ prinny...DOOD!
