how many suikoden will be made?

I think there can be as many as 20 suikoden games.. Even if they have already established a suikoden series for each of the 27 true runes, they can easily make another game because of the nature of possessing a true rune.. For example, Luc lose the true wind rune in Suikoden 3 right? Konami can make another suikoden game whereas the main hero will acquire the true wind rune.. There can be many sequels with this series and that's what i love the most about suikoden.

Yeah they could go on for ever(which i really would not mind at all).
Or at least untill the world is destroyed or Konami runs out of money.

i think it would be 9 main suikoden games and maybe 5 gaidens more. but if the plot is great why not go to 15 just don't do ala final fantasy thingy. we love suikoden coz its suikoden not final fantasy. :D

Hey the more the better right. You know what would be cool, if they went back to 2D in future installments... I don't know I liked it much better that way. I hope if they do make more it will be soon! Then again...they might rush things and end up with a crappy game so never mind. My guess is that they'll probably make it up to 10, hopefully...and more Gaidens (released in US too!! :evil: ). If I and II don't get released for the PSP in the US I hope a new game is released for the handheld...maybe Rhapsodia II...awesome non?

there will be suiko games for the true rune who are not shown till now
we know around 17 rune:
-beginning rune
-beast rune
-sovereign rune
-circle rune
-punishment rune
-soul eater rune
-gate rune
-blue moon rune
-dragon rune
-true firerune
-eightfold rune
-true earth rune
-true wind rune
-true water rune
-true lightning
-rune of change
-night rune

so there still 8 true runes so around 3 games or 4 games cause they might put several runes in one game
so we will be waiting

I think that enough Suikodens will be made to incorporate all of the True Runes and hopefully there may even be a True Rune bearers show down, that would be seriously cool.

As for the True Runes, I think when Suikoden 5 is released it will bring the True Rune count to 20 out of 27, of course not all of these have been seen in action, but here are the 17 currently known True Runes.

Dragon Rune - Milia

well iif they do run out of true runes maybe someone in the world will creat a way to make more true runes yet the process goes wrong and mixes untrue runes together

I'd love it if Windy returned or somebody with the same knowledge as Windy in weilding two True Runes appeared, that would be interesting if they did a mix of True Runes for a combined attack, I remember Scorched Earth from Suikoden 2 was my favourite use of runic magic, if there was a way to combine the powers of True Runes I believe it would be interesting.
I'd love to see a game dedicated entirely to Hikusaak from the Hero's War to present day, showing how he changed. Because if he was a hero and he won the Hero's War why would he change into somebody who'd have his army invade other lands for True Runes, destroy villages completely, subject conquered nations to a third class/slavery status.
