[Phase 5] Scarlet Moon vs Zexen at Vinay Del Zexay [Concluded]

"I ask for a duel!!" Zexen leader Gaara roared impatiently for the third time as he looked on at the Scarlet Moon fleet from his caravelle's forecastle.

Despite multiple invitations for a duel, no reply was heard from the Scarlet Moon fleet. Taking that as a refusal, Gaara ordered his fleet to proceed towards the Scarlet Moon fleet.

Seeing that as a sign of cowardice, a total of 3 soldiers abandons the Scarlet Moon forces!

"Bunch of cowards they are!" Gaara's lieutenant said haughtily.
Their ship plunged into Scarlet Moon's fleet without any resistance.

Suddenly, flames erupted from the Scarlet Moon ships. On that ship, Jeanemon ordered her magicians to cause a wind to propel the ship against the Zexen fleet. Tha magicians cast a wind element spell and promptly teleport away.

"What the..." Gaara stood amazed as he saw over a dozen burning ships approach his fleet.

"It's a trap!" Gaara yelled, telling his men to take the ship full to starboard. However, it was too late. The Scarlet Moon ships plunged into Zexen's formation, taking down a number of ships.

"To be defeated by such cheap tricks..." Gaara bit his lips as he ordered his fleet to retreat.

Seeing this unfold, Everyone's Grudge and Thanatos ordered their fleet to advance. Unaware the Zexen still had fresh ships, Scarlet Moon was caugfht off-guard by these new fleets. Consequently, Everyone's Grudge's 30000 Tonbrigade and Thanatos' Army of Thralls easilly decimated Scarlet Moon's special sabotage forces, resulting in the Scarlet Moon fleet retreating from the area temporarily.

Everyone's Grudge and Beethoven 4567 were tracking the elusive Scarlet Moon fleet that has plagued the Vinay Del Zexay harbor for days. The Scarlet Moon Empire's attack force was entirely composed of fast caravelles, which made it hard for heavy Zexen warships to pursue. Thus, Gaara has sent the two of them on Zexen's lightest ships to find and eliminate the SME saboteurs.

One night, Everyone's Grudge finally found the enemy fleet. Beethoven4567 suggested that they wait until nightfall to launch an attack. Everyone's Grudge agreed.

That night, Zexen soldiers numbering more than 60000 launched an incredibly one-sided naval assault against the SME fleet and completely annihilated then, erasing the threat against Vinay Del Zexay's harbors and freeing its supply routes.
