[Phase 5] Tinto Exploration Party (Southwest Tinto)

The Tinto exploration party, composed of Maken, Dark Horizon Angel, Fundertaker, and 7000 soldiers, goes southeast from Toza for a few days, and comes upon a dense jungle. Braving the thick jungle for a few days into teritorry never seen by any other, the men finally manage to trek through the jungle, only to find a huge city built around a tall pyramidal structure in the center. You see that there are guards armed with primitive weapons guarding and patrolling the premises.

The well educated mages of Maken and Dark Hirizon Angel deduce that there must be at least 90000 people living in the city, and that they would likely have a defensive force around 10000 soldiers.

Based on this knowledge, the three decide that they will try to capture this city in the name of Tinto.

Maken's magicians sweep in and cast their magic against some spear-wielding guard-like men. Pillars of fire enveloped them men, who were shocked by the sudden magical attack. Decimated, they retreated into the city. Soon, loud bells were heard clanging within the city.

Dark Horizon Angel continued with the attack, approaching the city gates. However, his regiment was attacked by fighters mounted on camels who came bursting out of the city gates. Leading them was a young woman wearing a veil. She sliced many magicians with her scimitar as the other warriors decimated the Tinto mages.

As the battle seemed hopeless, suddenly the Tinto banner was raised atop the city walls. Fundertaker's regiment has breached the walls and defeated enemies inside the fortifications. The woman general spits out a few foreign words, as she looks at the banner, and quickly gallops away; her men follow her.

Having won the skirmish, Maken, Dark Horizon Angel, and Fundertaker enter the city. Some men dressed in colorful garb come up to the Tintoans and speak to them. Upon realizing that they can not communicate, they beckon the three to follow them. As they walk through the winding streets, paved with stones, they arrive at a small harbor where they see a few ships, some that seem to come from as far as Zexen. The men clad in colorful robes calls out to one of the men at the harbor who was hauling some barrels. The young man promptly stopped working and ran over, bowing towards one of the men in colorful robes. One of the man in robes spoke to the man, and then the young man spoke in the common language, "High Priest says you have defeated our master, what do you want here."

Maken replies and says that they intend to make this a teritorry of Tinto. The young man translates this to one of the robed men, and then translates back, "they say you are the winner, so it is your right. However, Ati Anyaka will return, she ran away and it would be her purpose to take back her domain."

Upon hearing this, Maken, Dark Horizon Angel, and Fundertaker decided to hear more about this culture with the aid of this young man and the priests. Apparently, they have discovered a previously unknown (or only known to smugglers and pirates) nation called Makanakuy. The nation is ruled by a God-Emperor called Kamui Otopshi, who is said to possess great powers. There are about four other regions within the empire, each ruled by powerful warlords. They also learned that Makanakuy has developed some unique styles of battle, and use vastly different weapons than what is known in the outside world. They were told that Makanakuy has four different types of regiments, one of them are the spear-weilding guards, the other would be those who use poison laced blowguns that can kill with just a scratch, those camel riders that decimated Dark Horizon Angel's regiment, and shamans who gain their power from the sun god (the god-emperor).

Having heard all of this, the three set up a local government, employing the priests to help out with setting up infrastructure.
