Silverblade is a ship designed with one purpose in mind; speed. Its lines are sleek, and its draft shallow, the deck narrower than the norm for a Caravel, all in the interests of coaxing the maximum speed out of the vessel. The ship is triangle rigged, and when at full sail it cuts through the water with the ease of a dolphin. This has something to do with the fact that the ship is built of slightly lighter materials, decreasing its sturdiness. The deck and hold are also empty of any weights such as excess provisions or weapons to wage war at extended range. The narrowness and shallow draft of the boat do give it a greater ability to execute snap turns and changes of course, and coupled with the keel that runs along the bottom of the hull and the expertly trained crew, make the Silverblade a very agile ship as well. The purpose of such speed and deftness at the expense of sturdiness and distance power becomes readily apparent to any ship that is overtaken by the Silverblade. When the Corvus slams down atop the deck of the Silverblades' adversary and the crack marines pour across, the ship's long range capabilities become irrelevant.
