The many rivers and lakes of Ankon Chayay support a prolific fishing industry, and the extensive network of small creeks and water-filled caverns provides hideouts for pirates and smugglers alike. The rocky coastline however is so treacherous and shallow that only small boats can access the inland waterways, while larger ships cannot land or even navigate without running aground. Ship carcasses of those who tried regardless adorn the eastern shallows.
